The Sims

Post by Darkamber on Sun Nov 22, 2015 1:17 am

I've played the first and second and fourth versions of this game.
The first version was most fun, I still think.

In both Sims 2 and Sims 4 I made a household with me and Loki in it, to see how they would interact.

In Sims 4, you can visit your neighbours, so I made different households with my friends in them. I got Loki to come along to visit one of my friends' and while we waited, Loki suddenly ran off! I tracked him and he had run to the nearest park to play chess. LOL

Has anyone else played the Sims and made gods in it?

I don't have any Sims games, although I kind of wish I did. The closest I've come was playing (the now defunct) The Sims Social on FB, but I only made an avatar of myself.

I haven't played it in a few years. I should go find it and see if my computer can run the disc. Smile

Sims 3 is my favorite game ever, and I have almost every expansion for it. I've never made any of the Gods though to see what happens. That sounds like fun. Guess I know what I'm doing after work!

Sims-Loki was up most of the night, and when he came back from work, he fell asleep outside of the house!

I have a shirt almost exactly like that (I think the stripes on mine might be thinner)! It's one of my favorites, too.

Oh my! What a coinkidink! I have Sims 3. I made a family of Odin and me. He's quite good looking for a modern god! I called us the Harbard family, lol. I'll try to get some screenshots too!

If there's a way to set them up as husband/wife I'd sure love to know how! Now I have to get my char to romance him! And while my attempted first kiss was epic fail and lost me his friendship, he has absolutely no problems hogging my bed although I set it up with me as owner. I put a small bed for myself in the room (so as not to disturb his royal sleep Rolling Eyes ) but she kept getting up on her own to scream at Odin for sleeping in the big bed Laughing

I think you can set the relationship between the Sims when you create a family.
The romancing thing is funny though!
I set up SimsLoki and myself as a family, and had them both romance each other. SimsMe proposed to SimsLoki and he was so happy! LOL

That is so funny with Odin hogging the bed! LOL

Now my Sims are middleaged and they have a son. I've created a neighbour with a girl of the same age so he has a friend and someone to romance when he gets older.
I can play the Sims for hours! I get so caught up in them.
I should see if I can take more funny pictures.
There was a bug once when I loaded the game, and SimsLoki took a bath with his clothes on.

Did you click to make him propose or did it happen of their own 'free will'?
I wish there was a bug to make them bathe and change without pixels blocking the dangly bits. >

I clicked on SimsMe and had her propose. :-)

There is a mod for that, for removing the pixels, at least there was for Sims 1 and 2. They just look like Barbie and Ken, though.

Here's a few captured moments:

Even Sims can look like total dorks in their portraits. lol
Loki on the Exchange:

Odin on the Exchange:

Odin cooks, I garden, and Loki has the criminal career...and he fishes!

Loki Doodles reading a book of some sort. Probably Adverntures of Raymundo. Always popular with new neighbors. Sort of like Handbook for the Recently Deceased. There's one in every house. Probably every room of any house Odin owns or lives in, lol. Laughing

Oh, it's so much fun seeing pictures of other's Sims! Especially when you've made Norse gods!

Odin is looking good, Chris!

Thank you. Smile . Loki looks like a dork when he smiles. I made his top lip too thin and gave him a smirk. I didn't like how he looked with the other hairstyles. They didn't seem to go with his face.
It was so funny. In an earlier post I was telling how my sim was pissed because Odin took her bed? I gave her her own and she still got pissed, then shuffled off to the twin bed. As soon as Odin got up in the morning, she hopped right out of bed and went back to her bigger bed. Even when I changed bed ownership he STILL hogged her bed! Laughing

I ended up making another file where they're already married. The other Odin was wearing a modified hairstyle and I'd created him in a town I don't have anymors. I had to uninstall the pets expansion because my graphics memory isn't enough although Sims says it meets min. req. Like they always do. I increased my virtual ram and am running only base Sims3 and it's not crashing. It was crashing after redecorating. So I do a little bit, then save. Rinse and repeat, lol.

Poor Loki! Right now he's the only one with a job while me and Odin are slackers, lol.

I think the base set is only 19 bucks right now. But make extra sure you meet more than minimum requirements. And make sure you have a compatible graphics card. I only have 32 bit win 7. 64 bit is much better if you have it. Supposedly they've made it compatible with windows 10 but I saw a lot of forum complaints.

It would be funny to see Loki run around with a huge, erect pecker and laghing like a loon.

Apparently the bathroom is THE place to gather and hang out at the Harbard house. Two technicians and a puddle on the floor but that's okay. Working can wait, lol. Laughing

Also, I think I have found something me and Odin can enjoy together. I could swear he's playing along. Loki too! Loki kept wishing to buy apples and Odin?........yeah. He had a wish to go to the graveyard and see Loki's ghost. And Loki isn't even dead. Shocked
Death God much?
Creepy to Odinnic proportions. Seriously spooky.

I remember when I was a kid that everyone gravitated toward the bathroom when my mom did her makeup. First the dog, then my little sisters, then me and stepdad in the doorway.
