Odin has never looked so sexy

Post by Lokakisa on Tue Jul 07, 2015 8:37 am

In the fandom section, because it's a video game character -

I found it by accident when I was looking up games for the 3DS (which I don't have, but I was considering getting).
There is no Loki in the game, as far as I can tell, it's like a mash-up of different gods.

Bastet is adorable! http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00WSOW3QA

But I was like, wow, Japanese anime-style Odin ... not bad, not bad at all.

Uh, whoa... Shocked But still, I'm not going to go there because it upsets Fenrir. It appears that He doesn't want me anywhere near Odin. For some reason.
Bast looks adorable!! Very Happy

Odin just facepalmed and climbed under a rock to die a little.
He says he would never wear that in a million years.
Now I must go download puzzle and dragons. Laughing

I think the word to describe Odin's style is 'understated' Or minimalist: form follows function. At least the Odin I know. He comes to me as The Wanderer, robe and hat.

*nod nod* I too would never expect Odin to look like a glam Sephiroth. I tend to get Old Man Winter feels myself.
They could take the eyepatch off and call it Loki and it would work just as well. ;
p
Japan seems to like multicultural references in their games, especially the Final Fantasy series. Fenrir has been around as an avatar for a while, Odin has been a boss, now in the newest MMO you can get Midgardsomr (aka Jormy) as a dragon mount.

Oh wow. Final Fantasy. You know, I've only played vi, vii, and x. And I've never finished any of them. I have to say vi i'ls my favorite. It's like the classic FF. I've only ever gotten half way though it [after the floating islands and world destruction] before growing weary of it and giving up. Then a year will pass, I'll have forgotten the storyline and then start up a new file, lol
And yeah, the Japanese are obsessed with Western Mysticism and Mythology
