Coiled Snakes (for Loki)

Post by Moon Rouge on Mon May 18, 2015 11:35 pm

It is not my fault... I'm not addicted to jewelry making, I can stop any time.....
OK, I found coiled snakes charms and Loki .... I'm sure it was Him to point me that way! We just had to have them and that is all.
It helped me fix some of my old broken stuff too, like extend the old snake chain I loved to wear and become short .... total proof the metal shrinks!
And I used up the left over of Amber chips I had to make tiny bracelet. The gold shield I wear since last year in honor of Loki and because I had nothing else close enough to wear for Him back then. It used to be an earring. The post broke, so I punched the hole and made the charm out of it. Those two pieces, chain with the shield and snake chain look like they were always a pair.

Added one more, I don't want to make new post. The purple bracelet stones are Snugilit, Amethyst, and Peridot

Thank you so much, Rose, I didn't have to do much with it, it was good find. Very Happy

Thank you, Kisa, so very much! Freya's Brisingamen is said to be made from amber, same as this little piece. When She cries for it Her tears are also amber drops, I think. Very Happy

Lovely work, Moon Rouge!

Frejya cries for Her lost husband Odr, and She cries tears of amber or gold, depending on the story.

I read that Her tears are gold if they fall to land, and amber if they fall into water.

I always thought that the husband she cried for [under those names] was Odin. Odr is one of his heiti

Funny I have about 5 tiny bell thingies which I didn't used yet, but these are "
grape seeds"
. I had a charm of tiny round seeds stuck on wire and all together it made a small grape fruit. I took it apart and used it in these two, small bracelet and amber necklace (1 same piece in 5 squares) you have to look up close to see them, the necklace has smaller seeds. (and the red jasper-bloodstone bracelet has them too, I forgot)

I thought they were bells too, but I still really like the look!
