Loki in art

Post by Darkamber on Tue Mar 17, 2015 5:36 am

I run a Loki group on deviantart, which has lot of Loki images (no Marvel/Hiddleston-Loki):

Ohmygoodness, I found this FABULOUS beauty over on Deviant Art. (I signed up today, remembering that Darkamber had mentioned her group there. I was craving some Loki and Fenrir art. :;
): ) I love this picture, and set it as the background on my phone. But I found that when I now open up WordPress, I end up booping Loki's nose. Laughing

*Doh! The picture won't show!! Crying or Very sad

The icon shows it as a broken link. Can you upload it directly as an attachment?

Oh yeah, I really like her Loki. He's sort of young-ish in these pictures.
My favorite depiction of Loki is Moon Rouge's version. I sort of consider it SPG or VPG because in my UPG his eyes and nose are just the way she drew them and that was before I even made this forum.

That picture I posted is pretty much how I see Him, but with slightly curly hair.
I don't know that I've seen Fenrir yet, but an experience I had this afternoon leads me to think that, in humanoid form, He really resembles His dad, but with black hair.

Ooh that's nice.
I seem to get Him as a mix between Johnny Gage from "
Emergency!"
http://emergencyfans.com/images/page1-j ... e12-bw.jpg and SceithAilm's art http://sceithailm.deviantart.com/art/Da ... -448237298 .
Moreso I just get a sense of playfulness, inquitiveness, wildness, warmth and comfort. A changing nature, airy and liminal. It could be that I have not seen the "
true"
form yet.
As much as I like that art I don't really think of Him as half-nekkid all the time, it's more like He wears the clothes somewhat like our favorite BJD doll, or like artist depictions of Him in traditional clothing.

Edited:
Looking through Deviant Art I found a few that really jumped out at me.
http://loki-laufeyjarson.deviantart.com ... -308028420
http://loki-laufeyjarson.deviantart.com ... -456378970
http://loki-laufeyjarson.deviantart.com ... -463977651
http://loki-laufeyjarson.deviantart.com ... -405082419
http://loki-laufeyjarson.deviantart.com ... -354444012
http://loki-laufeyjarson.deviantart.com ... -406605964

Still hard to tell though if what I *get* is influenced by art, but some of these I had never seen before and I would get a "
yes, yes!"
or "
yes that's it!"
thought when viewing the above.

Also! Look at these older works of art. Long-haired and beautiful. ^_^

Thank you so very much,Christine.
I've met Him looking exactly like this on the street. It lasted about 30 seconds and then He was gone, I managed to talk to Him, or better to say we both did. Massive UPG I will never forget! Smile

Did you happen to post about it on your blog? I can't remember if I read something like that on there or not.

Yes, I mentioned it at the end of this post https://moonrouge.wordpress.com/2014/12 ... s-of-loki/
I tend to keep some memories to myself, this one is still very much vivid.
