edit: also I am glad the gods (well, Loki and Sigyn anyway) will accept offerings of marshmallow Peeps and Cadbury creme eggs in the modern age, rather than blood sacrifices :p
Yes, yes, yes! Smile

I am assuming that's one "
yes"
for each of my points. :p

I finally caught up with the series, had seen all what is out. The last episode, Athelstan's Journal, recap was not necessary.

My fave one-liners are of course by Floki. I love his reply to Ragnar's question if he knows where they are. Floki: "
I'm the boat builder, you are the navigator!"

And his simple "
No"
To Siggy's :"
Can you keep the secret."

Also I got songs from Runaljod Gap Var Ginnunga and Runaljod Yggdrasil by Wardruna <

That's possible. If you were like that last week, prepare for this week to be bad as well.

Have watched all of seasons 1 and 2 but haven't started on 3 yet.

Also just found out that Ragnar Lothbrok/Lodbrok may have been based on a real person (as well as a bunch of other characters in the show, including Lagertha and Princess [? it doesn't say she was a princess on Wiki though] Aslaug: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ragnar_Lodbrok )

Funny thing, Pagan calendar in UK has listed Ragnar Lodrok`s Day on March 28 is a celebration in honor of the sacking of Paris.

So this happened earlier:

Me (to Loki): You wanna watch beardy dudes whack at each other with swords?
Loki: [basically cracks up laughing*]

*I can't hear him but I could FEEL him laughing and it was making ME laugh. Plus when he's laughing the pendulum will make a certain motion--it's a really rapid elongated clockwise oval/ellipse. The longer/faster the oval, the harder/more he's laughing, and it was REALLY long/rapid.

(although *grumble grumble* when i checked on demand the first episode of season 3 had already been taken down and there was just a 5-minute recap, so i checked history.com. same thing! no full ep, just a recap. so i missed that episode. :/ )

Hey Corannhena, yes, that's true. You can read the sagas of Ragnar and his sons. It's thought the sagas may have amalgamated him with other people as well, but they are interesting reads, especially his death speech.

There's a book on Amazon about the Ragnar tales. Adding to my wish list! http://smile.amazon.com/dp/0578021382

I don't know of any "
free"
ways to watch the show.
Seasons 1 and 2 are available through AmazonPrime and Hulu Plus.
All episodes are available through iTunes and the Playstation Network.

If you want to watch it on TV (if you have Comcast/Xfinity cable, anyway), seasons 1 and 2 are on Streampix* On Demand and season 3 (minus the first episode, and the second expires tonight @ midnight I think) is on History On Demand. I've gotten up to episode... 5, I think, of the current season. (last ep I saw was Ecbert telling his son "
lol we totally tricked those dudes"
at the end)

*Oddly, there are both pay AND free versions on Streampix On Demand. I have no idea what the difference between the two is. The free version doesn't have commercials, so it's not that.

Re: Vikings

Welp, I'm caught up. I'm not really sure what I felt during
's death (although "
nervous"
is probably the closest I can get), since I had a feeling
was going to kill him and that
knew that
was going to kill him. Also I'm not entirely certain whether I should hate
now for doing it. :/ I liked both
AND
, dammit!

(In a show where [almost] literally [well, except possibly for Ragnar who has ], I don't think just saying a character died/another character killed him really counts as a spoiler, so I just redacted the names.)

I hate SPOILER 2 Corannhena, so feel free to join me.
SPOILER 1 was the love of my life (after Loki, and hubby, and TWH, and.... oh well, I liked him a lot!;
))

The capital letters terrify me, most of the time, so if I got it wrong .....never mind what I say. I still like Floki as he said, he is complicated. I cannot really hate him.

Ragnar is supposed to die in the snake pit, I think that is a lot worse. I don't know if they will do it this way in series. I've seen the old movie Vikings, with Kirk Douglas and Tony Curtis. Ragnar was thrown to the pit with the wolfs there.

I think I heard that Vikings has been renewed for a fourth season, so I'm guessing Ragnar has a ways to go yet.
But oh man .... :_: the feels

Speaking of Athelstan, Sigyn spelled a few days ago that he 'showed remarkable bravery, strength, and rare sacrificial morale' (regarding his death, I'm assuming). Loki didn't spell anything regarding him, but he did put "
Spirit In The Sky"
into my head a day or two after watching that episode (he confirmed he did, and when I asked why, he did spell Athelstan).

Thanks guys. I was happy with how it came out - even the hands weren't too bad. I hate drawing hands (I should probably practise them more!). Yeah, I tweeted it to him, not expecting anything, and was so thrilled when he replied!
Cant believe how the weeks have rushed by and the season will soon be over again!

Okay so. The season finale.

I don't wanna spoil it for those who haven't seen it, but am I the only one who totally did NOT see THAT coming? (Those who have seen it know what I'm talking about) I grinned so hard when it did happen, though.

Unfortunately my mom texted me after the episode and sort of spoiled it, I had to remind her later that without cable I have to wait a day or two to catch it online. But I think even without that I would've figured it out.
I have to say though, the facial expressions in this episode were awesomesauce! Rollo had me, well, rolling. ^_^
